We are a grassroots, not for profit, movement of individuals and families across our nation, that hold a collective concern about the increasing divide between food and fibre consumers, and primary producers and associated industries.
If we don’t produce it, someone else will, and we can assure you, it won’t be to the standard we have set ourselves.
Uniting the Soil, Sea and City
The Green Shirts Movement aims to unite all, across the cities and regions.
We are here to stand up for our agricultural industry and to also educate those who live in our cities (the consumer), in order to help keep Australian produce on our shelves and to have it be the cleanest and greenest it can be.

WE'RE CAMPAIGNING FOR CHANGE
The Green Shirts Movement isn’t all talk. WE TAKE ACTION!
There is much to achieve around Australia, but here is what we are fighting for right now.
Can you help us make a difference to these causes?
BARNABY JOYCE MP
Australian Deputy Prime Minister
“As the proportion of people actually on the land reduces in our nation, the political requirement of those who are there to be heard increases. This means you must speak up and do so in the most effective way.
We have to not accept what we are told is inevitable but fight for what is fair. We have to continually push back against our assets and income being used as an offering for someone else’s often misinformed conscience. We must not believe that politicians are all on our side so we must drive hard so that their survival is determined a great deal by ours. We have to understand that the greatest threat to our future is our apathy and like an open gate we are the only ones to blame if the horse bolts on us.
There is no such thing as a disorganised farmers’ threat. This movement is there to be seen from TV to the street from one side of our nation to the other, from the oldest to the youngest. From the shearer, live cattle producer, cane grower to the oyster grower. This says we understand no one is going to secure our future but us.”
GSM was founded on the principles of evidence based decision making, sound science, traditional knowledge, practical advocacy, the application of sensible policies and well thought out legislation.
GSM represents the core values of the people, families and communities that are critical across the entire supply chain who provide foods & fibres for those who cannot and do not. I found my tribe!"
